This is my hubby, Andy. We have the sweetest and goofiest 2 year old son named Devin who's currently obsessed with Mickey and cars. We just welcomed the newest addition to our little family, Kelsey, a month ago. Before we had kids, my husband and I dedicated a lot of our free time to all things food related - we loved recipe testing, trying new, upcoming or highly recommended Colorado restaurants, and traveling to foodie cities to hit up culinary hot spots. We even took a sushi class that was taught by the owner of our favorite restaurant (Sushi Den) and took a French macaron class in Paris.. |
Just like all new parents, we had to adjust to our new way of life. We still have a deep appreciation for food and make time for hobbies and personal interests (Andy just bought a kayak and I started this blog) but the days of sleeping in, multiple date nights in a week or being able to get up and go whenever we pleased was no longer our reality. Our focus shifted to caring for our little one(s). Now, with a newborn, it seems like our primary goal is to just get a decent night's sleep! Being a parent is quite an adventure. It's tiring and can get really frustrating and overwhelming but it's also extremely rewarding. We have a lot of laughs and are able to create many wonderful, long lasting family memories along the way, too.
I'm starting this blog as my own personal outlet, a way to keep in touch with friends and family and to also share/connect with other parents, amateur bakers, DIY fanatics, and food enthusiasts. So take a look around. Visit often. I hope you'll be able to find inspiration, get some useful tips or just be entertained from some of the stories that I post.
XO,
Karla
